In the majority of cases, we usually make TDF flanges from large-sized galvanized sheets before folding them into square ducts. For example, for a 200x200mm duct with a standard height of 1.2 meters, the TDF flange edge forming length is 800mm. There are 14-16 stations roller totally, the galvanized steel sheet will be well fixed by these rollers when it moves, will move straightly without any deviation.
However, if we need to make special size TDF flange edges, such as flange edges only 50mm long, due to the distance between the forming rollers, the 50mm galvanized sheet cannot be fixed during the forming process, which can causes the galvanized sheet to be easily deviated. In this case, we need to install this movable clamp to fix the sheet and achieve the best forming result.
